The economic landscape for women-owned businesses is vastly changing, as we’re seeing more women become successful entrepreneurs and filling the gap for senior leadership positions. But still, the imbalance of gender equality within the workplace warrants us to analyze what specific industries are making the most impact for women in business and who is leading the gender diversity conversation.
Entrepreneur reports that the amount of women entering the franchising sector has increased by 45% within the past five years.
As revealed in Franchise Business Review’s latest report, the franchise industry scores the highest satisfaction rate among female business owners. In fact, nearly 90% of female Franchisees surveyed say they enjoy operating their business, and nearly 62% of them believe their business is significantly contributing to the success of the franchise brand as a whole. These numbers are staggering compared to other industries.
So what about the franchising industry makes it so appealing to female entrepreneurs and business owners? Part of the reason is that the franchising model gives women the opportunity to collaborate with multiple teams, mentor other Franchisees, gain flexibility in work/life balance, and create multiple streams of revenue. Entrepreneur reports that the amount of women entering the franchising sector has increased by 45% within the past five years. It’s evident that more female entrepreneurs are seeking better, stronger business models and for the franchising industry, providing more opportunities for women is proving to be a lucrative investment.
We’re proud to be recognized by Franchise Business Review as one of the “Top Franchises for Women” and continue to pave the way for women seeking substantial business opportunities. Our mission is to lift our Franchisees, which means we stand behind all of our female Master Owners as they continue to drive the workplace diversity conversation.
