A commercial cleaning company based out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is planning on opening several franchises in Albuquerque and Santa Fe over the next two years.
Anago Cleaning Systems handles a number of cleaning jobs in different industries and facilities — from offices, health care, manufacturing and hospitality.
Anago President Adam Povlitz said the company is already in Arizona, Texas and most recently Colorado. As with many national franchises, the company created a loop around New Mexico and is now ready to enter.
Povlitz said Albuquerque’s growing high tech scene and manufacturing businesses make it a good fit for the company.
“We look at every single city and deliberately analyze all the industries and saw Albuquerque has a lot of technology firms in the area. Our model translates well to high tech and high security facilities,” Povlitz said.
Despite Albuquerque’s sometimes lackluster office market, Povlitz said his company is excited about doing business in New Mexico because of Albuquerque’s booming exports industry.
He said the company is looking for someone to own the company’s Albuquerque and Santa Fe territory, which he hopes will eventually have 20 unit franchises by 2017.
