
Many of these families travel far from their homes to get the best treatment for their children. The House provides their services at little or no cost to these families for extended periods of time. Their philosophy is that when a child is hospitalized, the love and support of family is as powerful as the strongest medicine prescribed. By staying at a Ronald McDonald House, parents can also better communicate with their child’s medical team and focus on the health of their child, rather than worrying about grocery shopping, cleaning, or cooking meals. RMHC’s Global Policy states that families are never turned away – if it’s not possible to pay, the fee is waived. Today there are over 300 Ronald McDonald Houses across the world.
Anago Cleaning Systems’ employees collectively donated cash and supplies for the Ronald McDonald House. The company then matched their donations. In late December, a group of Anago employees visited the House. Stacy Celestin of RMHC described the experience – “I watched a group of astonishing people spread the love in their hearts with the children and their families here at the Ronald McDonald House. We greatly appreciate all the efforts and dedication of Anago Cleaning Systems. As members of the South Florida community, they made it their mission to give back to the families residing here.”
