Now that we’ve had our fun, it’s time to get serious. Seriously clean!

Because a child’s immune system is less mature than adults, they are more susceptible to picking up germs. Children are always touching everything and are always putting their fingers in their mouths. Children contract several colds a year and now that school is back, the circulation of germs will travel from school, to you, and then to your co-workers. We all know how co-workers look at you when you come to work sick. “Why don’t you just stay home?” they mumble to themselves. Below are a few tips to avoid picking up germs.

Tip #1: Wash Hands Constantly
While washing hands, sing the happy birthday song twice to ensure that your hands are properly washed.

Tip #2: Use Hand Sanitizer
Read more about the benefits of hand sanitizer on Anago’s previous blog here: http://bit.ly/2bHBPCJ

Tip #3: Fewer Handshakes
Handshakes are custom business greetings; however, if you are honest, you can avoid an awkward situation. In an introductory setting, simply say that you are avoiding the flu and you can turn an uncomfortable situation into a funny one by fisting bumping or bowing.

Tip #4: Move Your Work Space
At Anago, we have a designated office for co-workers who are sick. They are set up with their own equipment such as a separate phone and monitor, they are able to complete assignments while getting better.

Tip #5: Use Etiquette
Cough or sneeze into the crook of your elbow; not your hands. Use a tissue when rubbing eyes or nose, don’t use your hands.

Tip #6: Get a Flu Shot
According to the CDC, Influenza can lead to hospitalization and in some cases; death. Flu vaccines protect against the flu virus.

Tip #7: Sometimes Sharing is NOT Caring
Avoid sharing lipstick or lip balm, water fountains, and clean lunch tables before and after you eat.

Tip #8: Boost Your Immune System
Staying healthy will boost your immune system: Exercise, drink plenty of water, and stock up on fruits and vegetables.

Tip #9: Take a Multivitamin
Vitamins provide different benefits. You can target heart health, skin, bone health, antioxidants and more! A quality multivitamin will help support your health.

Last but not least;

Tip #10: Clean!
Germs travel! Clean everything from your bathroom at home to your office space at work. Avoid the cycle of passing on germs and avoid getting sick this back to school season.
